Who Was Melchior?
Christian tradition identifies Melchior as one of the Three Wise Men, or Magi, who traveled from the East to visit the infant Jesus. While the Gospel of Matthew does not name the Magi or describe them as kings, later Christian tradition gave them the names Melchior, Caspar, and Balthazar.

Their journey, guided by the Star of Bethlehem and accompanied by gifts for the newborn Christ, has become one of the most recognizable traditions associated with the Nativity.

If you are unsure of your measurements, please measure your favorite NON-STRETCH comparable garment.

I purchased this costume for our Christmas program. The fabric is thick and I thought would be great. However at our dress rehearsal the 'wiseman' showed me how the fabric had torn apart badly. I then had to make slits up both sides of the costumer up to his knees, hemming them so the wiseman could walk without the fabric ripping more. If the young person wearing this costume is going to basically be standing in one place all the time, it will work for you....but if they are moving around and having to take some big steps or movements I would recommend not getting this costume.

The reds weren’t an exact match, but overall great quality and fit!
