Our Men's Colonial Civilian Militia Coat is a historically accurate replica of the type of coat worn by men during the colonial period in America. Constructed using high-quality polyester gaberdine fabric and fully lined with a poly/cotton broadcloth for added comfort and durability.
The coat is specifically designed to be worn open and is intended to be worn with a waistcoat underneath. The coat features two working pockets, hidden by large pocket flaps, one on each side, decorative shank buttons on one side, and an embroidered, non-working buttonhole.
It is available in 5 color options and 5 sizes. Please note that the shank buttons may differ due to availability.
The coat's purpose during the colonial period was both practical and symbolic, serving as a representation of a man's involvement in the colonial militia. To ensure a longer-lasting garment life, it is recommended that the jacket be dry-cleaned for best results.

What size should I order?
Please, refer to the size chart. The size chart is located as a photo in the listing, and the directions to measure are located on the size chart. We have made the size chart strictly on the costumes we have manufactured.
If you are unsure of your measurements, please measure your favorite NON-STRETCH comparable garment.
*We have many different styles of medieval wear, all with their unique fit and size charts.
When will the item I want be back in stock?
If you go to the listing: select the size and color you want, then click on the "let me know when it is back" button. ETSY will send you a message/email when we have restocked the item.
We have no control over who purchases each garment, nor do we have access to the restock requests/waiting list. Items are purchased on first-come-first-served bases.

The problems we shared were more my fault. I would suggest ordering a size larger. If there is a scale with costume on one end and reenactor on the other, this tends toward costume. Read everything to include comments. I assure you they are honorable folks and will work with you short of a refund.

Very lovely coat, it's better in person. Well made and good material, it feels like it's going to last. I'm using this for a Fallout 4 costume and I'll be making it look post apocalyptic.

Even though this is a Colonial coat, it's such a versatile garment that fit in wonderfully at a Regency ball. Looks great with a colorful waistcoat!
